Marc Boff

Marc Boff begins his second year as the head athletic trainer for the Bucks. Previously, he has served as the assistant athletic trainer for the Chicago Bulls for four seasons.

Boff is a licensed athletic trainer, a licensed physical therapist and certified strength and conditioning coach. In 2002-2004 he served as the Head Strength Coach and Physical Therapist for the New Orleans Hornets. From 1994-2002 Boff worked for the Boston Celtics as the assistant to Head Athletic Trainer Ed Lacerte. In addition to his work with the Celtics and Hornets, he has volunteered as a trainer at the NBA Draft Camp multiple times. Boff moonlights in local physical therapy clinics treating patients who present with a wide range of orthopedic diagnoses.

A native of Ocean Township, N.J., Boff grew up on the Jersey Shore. He received his Bachelor’s degree in American studies from Brandeis University in 1996 while playing varsity soccer and lacrosse. Boff went on to earn his Master’s Degree in Physical Therapy from Simmons College in 2002 and recently completed his Doctorate of Science in Physical Therapy. Boff also recently became a certified Performance Enhancement Specialist and Corrective Exercise Specialist through the NASM.

Boff, also a licensed soccer coach, has served as coach and director of Coerver Soccer Camps of New Jersey since 1992.

Assistant Athletic Trainer
Scott Barthlama
Colleges:  University of Northern Colorado (B.S.)
University of Oregon (M.S.)

Barthlama comes to the Bucks after spending the previous 10 seasons on Northwestern University’s training staff. His roles included Certified Athletic Trainer and Strength and Conditioning Coach for men’s basketball along with men’s and women’s golf. Prior to joining Northwestern, Barthlama worked in sports medicine clinics for five years in Texas.

In addition to his time at Northwestern, Barthlama has also worked with the University of Oregon as a graduate assistant for football, men’s and women’s basketball and men’s and women’s track and field. He graduated from the University of Northern Colorado with a bachelor’s degree in kinesiology as well as secondary physical education and received his Master of Science degree in athletic medicine from the University of Oregon.

Barthlama is a member of the National Athletic Trainer’s Association (NATA), is a performance enhancement specialist by the National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM) and is a certified strength and conditioning specialist with the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA). He will serve as the team’s Assistant Strength and Conditioning Coach in addition to his duties as the Assistant Athletic Trainer.
